Chapter 11

I was terrified. Just to hear the words coming from Samia’s lips scared the hell out of me because I was not sure how she was going to react. She kept looking into my eyes to be sure, and then she was, because she got to her feet and her reaction shocked me.

“Samia,” I laughed. “I didn’t climb down anything.”

“You falling in love with a peasant,” she said and I laughed and fell back on the sofa.
